DEUTERONOMY 6 10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee GREAT and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, GREAT and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: DEUTERONOMY 7 19 The GREAT temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. DEUTERONOMY 8 15 Who led thee through that GREAT and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; DEUTERONOMY 9 1 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities GREAT and fenced up to heaven, 2 A people GREAT and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak! DEUTERONOMY 10 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a GREAT God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: 21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these GREAT and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. DEUTERONOMY 11 7 But your eyes have seen all the GREAT acts of the LORD which he did. DEUTERONOMY 12 15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the HART. 22 Even as the roebuck and the HART is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike. DEUTERONOMY 14 5 The HART, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois. 16 The little owl, and the GREAT owl, and the swan, DEUTERONOMY 15 22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the HART. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this GREAT fire any more, that I die not. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 25 13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a GREAT and a small. 14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a GREAT and a small. DEUTERONOMY 26 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, GREAT, mighty, and populous: 8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with GREAT terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: DEUTERONOMY 27 2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up GREAT stones, and plaister them with plaister: DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even GREAT plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. DEUTERONOMY 29 3 The GREAT temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those GREAT miracles: 24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this GREAT anger? 28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in GREAT indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day. DEUTERONOMY 34 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the GREAT terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel. JOSHUA 1 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the GREAT river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the GREAT sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. JOSHUA 6 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a GREAT shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a GREAT shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. JOSHUA 7 9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy GREAT name? 26 And they raised over him a GREAT heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. 29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a GREAT heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day. JOSHUA 9 1 And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the GREAT sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof; JOSHUA 10 2 That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a GREAT city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty. 10 And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a GREAT slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah. 11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down GREAT stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword. 18 And Joshua said, Roll GREAT stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them: 20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very GREAT slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities. 27 And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid GREAT stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day. JOSHUA 11 8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto GREAT Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining. JOSHUA 14 12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were GREAT and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. 15 And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a GREAT man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war. --MORE-- |
