ISAIAH 40 12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the DUST of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small DUST of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. ISAIAH 41 2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the DUST to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow. ISAIAH 44 14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the FOREST: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. 23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O FOREST, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. ISAIAH 47 1 Come down, and sit in the DUST, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. ISAIAH 49 23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the DUST of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me. ISAIAH 51 10 Art thou not it which hath DRIED the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? ISAIAH 52 2 Shake thyself from the DUST; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. ISAIAH 56 9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the FOREST. ISAIAH 65 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and DUST shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 5 6 Wherefore a lion out of the FOREST shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. JEREMIAH 10 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the FOREST, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. JEREMIAH 12 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the FOREST; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. JEREMIAH 21 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the FOREST thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 23 10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are DRIED up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right. JEREMIAH 26 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a FOREST. JEREMIAH 46 23 They shall cut down her FOREST, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. JEREMIAH 50 38 A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be DRIED up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols. LAMENTATIONS 2 10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up DUST upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground. LAMENTATIONS 3 29 He putteth his mouth in the DUST; if so be there may be hope. EZEKIEL 15 2 Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the FOREST? 6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the FOREST, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. EZEKIEL 17 24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have DRIED up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it. EZEKIEL 19 12 But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind DRIED up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them. EZEKIEL 20 46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the FOREST of the south field; 47 And say to the FOREST of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. EZEKIEL 24 7 For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with DUST; EZEKIEL 26 4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her DUST from her, and make her like the top of a rock. 10 By reason of the abundance of his horses their DUST shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach. 12 And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy DUST in the midst of the water. EZEKIEL 27 30 And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up DUST upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes: EZEKIEL 37 11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are DRIED, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. DANIEL 12 2 And many of them that sleep in the DUST of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. JOEL 1 10 The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is DRIED up, the oil languisheth. 12 The vine is DRIED up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. 20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are DRIED up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness. AMOS 2 7 That pant after the DUST of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name: AMOS 3 4 Will a lion roar in the FOREST, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? MICAH 1 10 Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the DUST. MICAH 5 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the FOREST, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. MICAH 7 17 They shall lick the DUST like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.
