DANIEL 10 3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I ANOINT myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. AMOS 1 1 The words of AMOS, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. AMOS 6 6 That drink wine in bowls, and ANOINT themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. AMOS 7 8 And the LORD said unto me, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, AMOS hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus AMOS saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. 12 Also Amaziah said unto AMOS, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 14 Then answered AMOS, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: AMOS 8 2 And he said, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. MICAH 6 15 Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not ANOINT thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine. MATTHEW 6 17 But thou, when thou fastest, ANOINT thine head, and wash thy face; MATTHEW 25 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ABILITY; and straightway took his journey. MARK 14 8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to ANOINT my body to the burying. MARK 16 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and ANOINT him. LUKE 3 25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of AMOS, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, LUKE 7 46 My head with oil thou didst not ANOINT: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. LUKE 16 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf FIXED: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. ACTS 11 29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ABILITY, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: 1 PETER 4 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ABILITY which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. REVELATION 3 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and ANOINT thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. --END-- |
