GENESIS 42 18 And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear GOD: 28 And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that GOD hath done unto us? GENESIS 43 14 And GOD Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved. 23 And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your GOD, and the GOD of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them. 29 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, GOD be gracious unto thee, my son. GENESIS 44 7 And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? GOD forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing: 16 And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? GOD hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found. 17 And he said, GOD forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father. GENESIS 45 5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for GOD did send me before you to preserve life. 7 And GOD sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but GOD: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. 9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, GOD hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: GENESIS 46 1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the GOD of his father Isaac. 2 And GOD spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. 3 And he said, I am GOD, the GOD of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: GENESIS 48 3 And Jacob said unto Joseph, GOD Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, 9 And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom GOD hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them. 11 And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, GOD hath shewed me also thy seed. 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, GOD, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the GOD which fed me all my life long unto this day, 20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, GOD make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but GOD shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. GENESIS 49 24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty GOD of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) 25 Even by the GOD of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: GENESIS 50 17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the GOD of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. 19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of GOD? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but GOD meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and GOD will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, GOD will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. EXODUS 1 17 But the midwives feared GOD, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. 20 Therefore GOD dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. 21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared GOD, that he made them houses. EXODUS 2 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto GOD by reason of the bondage. 24 And GOD heard their groaning, and GOD remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And GOD looked upon the children of Israel, and GOD had respect unto them. EXODUS 3 1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of GOD, even to Horeb. 4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, GOD called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 6 Moreover he said, I am the GOD of thy father, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon GOD. 11 And Moses said unto GOD, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve GOD upon this mountain. 13 And Moses said unto GOD, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The GOD of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And GOD said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And GOD said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD GOD of your fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. 16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD GOD of your fathers, the GOD of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt: 18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD GOD of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our GOD. EXODUS 4 5 That they may believe that the LORD GOD of their fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. 16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of GOD. 20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of GOD in his hand. 27 And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of GOD, and kissed him. EXODUS 5 1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD GOD of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 3 And they said, The GOD of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our GOD; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword. 8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our GOD. --MORE-- |
