DANIEL 1 4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ABILITY in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans. AMOS 1 1 The words of AMOS, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. AMOS 7 8 And the LORD said unto me, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, AMOS hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus AMOS saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. 12 Also Amaziah said unto AMOS, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 14 Then answered AMOS, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: AMOS 8 2 And he said, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. MATTHEW 25 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ABILITY; and straightway took his journey. LUKE 3 25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of AMOS, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, LUKE 16 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf FIXED: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. ACTS 11 29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ABILITY, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: 1 PETER 4 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ABILITY which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. --END-- |
