LUKE 7
2 And A certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us A synagogue.
7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in A word, and my servant shall be healed.
8 For I ALSO am A man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into A city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was A dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was A widow: and much people of the city was with her.
16 And there came A fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That A great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than A prophet.
28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not A greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath A devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold A gluttonous man, and A winebibber, A friend of publicans and sinners!
37 And, behold, A woman in the city, which was A sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were A prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is A sinner.
41 There was A certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins ALSO?
LUKE 8
4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by A parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon A rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for A while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
16 No man, when he hath lighted A candle, covereth it with A vessel, or putteth it under A bed; but setteth it on A candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
22 Now it came to pass on A certain day, that he went into A ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down A storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was A calm.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city A certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with A loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down A steep place into the lake, and were choked.
36 They ALSO which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.
41 And, behold, there came A man named Jairus, and he was A ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay A dying. But as he went the people thronged him.
43 And A woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
LUKE 9
5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for A testimony against them.
10 And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into A desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
12 And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in A desert place.
14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in A company.
25 For what is A man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
27 But I tell you of A truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into A mountain to pray.
34 While he thus spake, there came A cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35 And there came A voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
38 And, behold, A man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
39 And, lo, A spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
42 And as he was yet A coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
46 Then there arose A reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took A child, and set him by him,
52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into A village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, A certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
61 And another ALSO said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
LUKE 10
1 After these things the LORD appointed other seventy ALSO, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had A great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
25 And, behold, A certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 And by chance there came down A certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise A Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But A certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into A certain village: and A certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had A sister called Mary, which ALSO sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
