NUMBERS 11 33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very GREAT plague. DEUTERONOMY 1 7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the GREAT river, the river Euphrates. 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the GREAT; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. 19 And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that GREAT and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea. 28 Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are GREAT and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. DEUTERONOMY 2 7 For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this GREAT wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing. 10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people GREAT, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; 21 A people GREAT, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead: DEUTERONOMY 3 5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a GREAT many. DEUTERONOMY 4 6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this GREAT nation is a wise and understanding people. 7 For what nation is there so GREAT, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? 8 And what nation is there so GREAT, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? 32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this GREAT thing is, or hath been heard like it? 34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by GREAT terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his GREAT fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire. 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 5 22 These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a GREAT voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me. 25 Now therefore why should we die? for this GREAT fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die. DEUTERONOMY 6 10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee GREAT and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, GREAT and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: DEUTERONOMY 7 19 The GREAT temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. DEUTERONOMY 8 15 Who led thee through that GREAT and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; DEUTERONOMY 9 1 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities GREAT and fenced up to heaven, 2 A people GREAT and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak! DEUTERONOMY 10 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a GREAT God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: 21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these GREAT and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. DEUTERONOMY 11 7 But your eyes have seen all the GREAT acts of the LORD which he did. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 25 13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a GREAT and a small. 14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a GREAT and a small. DEUTERONOMY 26 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, GREAT, mighty, and populous: 8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with GREAT terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: --MORE-- |
