NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 1 7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the GREAT river, the river Euphrates. 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the GREAT; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. 19 And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that GREAT and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea. 28 Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are GREAT and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. DEUTERONOMY 2 7 For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this GREAT wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing. 10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people GREAT, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; 21 A people GREAT, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead: DEUTERONOMY 3 5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a GREAT many. DEUTERONOMY 4 6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this GREAT nation is a wise and understanding people. 7 For what nation is there so GREAT, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? 8 And what nation is there so GREAT, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? 32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this GREAT thing is, or hath been heard like it? 34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by GREAT terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his GREAT fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire. 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 5 22 These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a GREAT voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me. 25 Now therefore why should we die? for this GREAT fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die. DEUTERONOMY 6 10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee GREAT and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, GREAT and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: DEUTERONOMY 7 19 The GREAT temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. DEUTERONOMY 8 15 Who led thee through that GREAT and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; DEUTERONOMY 9 1 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities GREAT and fenced up to heaven, 2 A people GREAT and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak! DEUTERONOMY 10 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a GREAT God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: 21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these GREAT and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. DEUTERONOMY 11 7 But your eyes have seen all the GREAT acts of the LORD which he did. DEUTERONOMY 14 16 The little owl, and the GREAT owl, and the swan, DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this GREAT fire any more, that I die not. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 25 13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a GREAT and a small. 14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a GREAT and a small. DEUTERONOMY 26 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, GREAT, mighty, and populous: 8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with GREAT terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: DEUTERONOMY 27 2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up GREAT stones, and plaister them with plaister: DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even GREAT plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. DEUTERONOMY 29 3 The GREAT temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those GREAT miracles: 24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this GREAT anger? 28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in GREAT indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day. DEUTERONOMY 34 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the GREAT terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel. JOSHUA 1 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the GREAT river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the GREAT sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. JOSHUA 6 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a GREAT shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a GREAT shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. --MORE-- |
