SONG OF SOLOMON 5 1 I am come into my GARDEN, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. SONG OF SOLOMON 6 2 My beloved is gone down into his GARDEN, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. 11 I went down into the GARDEN of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded. ISAIAH 1 8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a GARDEN of cucumbers, as a besieged city. 30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a GARDEN that hath no water. ISAIAH 9 18 For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the FOREST, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. ISAIAH 10 18 And shall consume the glory of his FOREST, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth. 19 And the rest of the trees of his FOREST shall be few, that a child may write them. 34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the FOREST with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one. ISAIAH 21 13 The burden upon Arabia. In the FOREST in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim. ISAIAH 22 8 And he discovered the covering of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the FOREST. ISAIAH 24 15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the FIRES, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. ISAIAH 29 17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a FOREST? ISAIAH 32 15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a FOREST. 19 When it shall hail, coming down on the FOREST; and the city shall be low in a low place. ISAIAH 37 24 By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the FOREST of his Carmel. ISAIAH 44 14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the FOREST: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. 23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O FOREST, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. ISAIAH 51 3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the GARDEN of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. ISAIAH 56 9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the FOREST. ISAIAH 58 11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered GARDEN, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. ISAIAH 61 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the GARDEN causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. JEREMIAH 5 6 Wherefore a lion out of the FOREST shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. JEREMIAH 10 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the FOREST, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. JEREMIAH 12 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the FOREST; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. JEREMIAH 21 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the FOREST thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 26 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a FOREST. JEREMIAH 31 12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered GARDEN; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. JEREMIAH 39 4 And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's GARDEN, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain. JEREMIAH 46 23 They shall cut down her FOREST, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. JEREMIAH 52 7 Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's GARDEN; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain. LAMENTATIONS 2 6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a GARDEN: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest. EZEKIEL 15 2 Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the FOREST? 6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the FOREST, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. EZEKIEL 20 46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the FOREST of the south field; 47 And say to the FOREST of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. EZEKIEL 28 13 Thou hast been in Eden the GARDEN of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. EZEKIEL 31 8 The cedars in the GARDEN of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the GARDEN of God was like unto him in his beauty. 9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the GARDEN of God, envied him. EZEKIEL 36 35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the GARDEN of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. HOSEA 2 12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a FOREST, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. JOEL 2 3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the GARDEN of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. AMOS 3 4 Will a lion roar in the FOREST, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? MICAH 3 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the FOREST. MICAH 5 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the FOREST, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. ZECHARIAH 11 2 Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the FOREST of the vintage is come down. LUKE 13 19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his GARDEN; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. JOHN 18 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a GARDEN, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the GARDEN with him? JOHN 19 41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a GARDEN; and in the GARDEN a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. --END-- |
