ISAIAH 44 14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the FOREST: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. 23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O FOREST, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. ISAIAH 56 9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the FOREST. JEREMIAH 5 6 Wherefore a lion out of the FOREST shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. JEREMIAH 10 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the FOREST, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. JEREMIAH 12 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the FOREST; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. JEREMIAH 21 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the FOREST thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 26 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a FOREST. JEREMIAH 46 23 They shall cut down her FOREST, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. EZEKIEL 15 2 Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the FOREST? 6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the FOREST, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. EZEKIEL 20 46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the FOREST of the south field; 47 And say to the FOREST of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. HOSEA 2 12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a FOREST, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. AMOS 3 4 Will a lion roar in the FOREST, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? MICAH 3 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the FOREST. MICAH 5 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the FOREST, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. ZECHARIAH 11 2 Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the FOREST of the vintage is come down. MATTHEW 10 24 The DISCIPLE is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the DISCIPLE that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? 42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a DISCIPLE, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. MATTHEW 27 57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' DISCIPLE: LUKE 6 40 The DISCIPLE is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. LUKE 14 26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my DISCIPLE. 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my DISCIPLE. 33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my DISCIPLE. JOHN 9 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his DISCIPLE; but we are Moses' disciples. JOHN 18 15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another DISCIPLE: that DISCIPLE was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. 16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other DISCIPLE, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. JOHN 19 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the DISCIPLE standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the DISCIPLE, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that DISCIPLE took her unto his own home. 38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a DISCIPLE of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. JOHN 20 2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other DISCIPLE, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. 3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other DISCIPLE, and came to the sepulchre. 4 So they ran both together: and the other DISCIPLE did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 8 Then went in also that other DISCIPLE, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. JOHN 21 7 Therefore that DISCIPLE whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the DISCIPLE whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? 23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that DISCIPLE should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? 24 This is the DISCIPLE which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. ACTS 9 10 And there was a certain DISCIPLE at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a DISCIPLE. 36 Now there was at Joppa a certain DISCIPLE named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. ACTS 16 1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain DISCIPLE was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: ACTS 21 16 There went with us also certain of the disciples of Caesarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an old DISCIPLE, with whom we should lodge. --END-- |
