JOSHUA 10 4 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: FOR it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel. 6 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: FOR all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us. 8 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: FOR I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. 14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: FOR the LORD fought FOR Israel. 18 And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it FOR to keep them: 19 And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: FOR the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand. 24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called FOR all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. 25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: FOR thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. 42 And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought FOR Israel. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: FOR to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. 10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: FOR Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms. 13 But as FOR the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn. 14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took FOR a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe. 20 FOR it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses. 23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it FOR an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. JOSHUA 12 6 Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it FOR a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh. 7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel FOR a possession according to their divisions; JOSHUA 13 6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites FOR an inheritance, as I have commanded thee. 7 Now therefore divide this land FOR an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh, 12 All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: FOR these did Moses smite, and cast them out. 32 These are the countries which Moses did distribute FOR inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward. JOSHUA 14 1 And these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed FOR inheritance to them. 2 By lot was their inheritance, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses, FOR the nine tribes, and FOR the half tribe. 3 FOR Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them. 4 FOR the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs FOR their cattle and FOR their substance. 9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's FOR ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, FOR war, both to go out, and to come in. 12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; FOR thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron FOR an inheritance. JOSHUA 15 19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; FOR thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs. 63 As FOR the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day. JOSHUA 16 9 And the separate cities FOR the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages. JOSHUA 17 1 There was also a lot FOR the tribe of Manasseh; FOR he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, FOR Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan. 2 There was also a lot FOR the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; FOR the children of Abiezer, and FOR the children of Helek, and FOR the children of Asriel, and FOR the children of Shechem, and FOR the children of Hepher, and FOR the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families. 15 And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down FOR thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow FOR thee. 16 And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough FOR us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel. 18 But the mountain shall be thine; FOR it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: FOR thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong. JOSHUA 18 4 Give out from among you three men FOR each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me. 6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots FOR you here before the LORD our God. 7 But the Levites have no part among you; FOR the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. 8 And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots FOR you before the LORD in Shiloh. 10 And Joshua cast lots FOR them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions. JOSHUA 19 1 And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even FOR the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah. 9 Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: FOR the part of the children of Judah was too much FOR them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them. 10 And the third lot came up FOR the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid: 17 And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, FOR the children of Issachar according to their families. 24 And the FIFTH lot came out FOR the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families. 32 The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even FOR the children of Naphtali according to their families. 40 And the seventh lot came out FOR the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families. 47 And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little FOR them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. 49 When they had made an end of dividing the land FOR inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: 51 These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided FOR an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
