JOHN 18 2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: FOR Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. 13 And led him away to Annas first; FOR he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. 14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die FOR the people. 18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; FOR it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. 31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful FOR us to put any man to death: 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and FOR this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. JOHN 19 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: FOR I find no fault in him. 20 This title then read many of the Jews: FOR the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots FOR it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and FOR my vesture they did cast lots. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; FOR the sepulchre was nigh at hand. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (FOR he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (FOR they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and FOR all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. And she said, Yea, FOR so much. 26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: FOR they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, FOR to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 36 FOR before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. 38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: FOR if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame FOR his name. ACTS 6 14 FOR we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
