LUKE 11
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in A certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have A friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 For A friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
11 If A son shall ask bread of any of you that is A father, will he give him A stone? or if he ask A fish, will he for A fish give him A serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him A scorpion?
14 And he was casting out A devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
16 And others, tempting him, sought of him A sign from heaven.
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and A house divided against A house falleth.
21 When A strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
22 But when A stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of A man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, A certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek A sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
30 For as Jonas was A sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, A greater than Solomon is here.
32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, A greater than Jonas is here.
33 No man, when he hath lighted A candle, putteth it in A secret place, neither under A bushel, but on A candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of A candle doth give thee light.
37 And as he spake, A certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
LUKE 12
10 And whosoever shall speak A word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me A judge or A divider over you?
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for A man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 And he spake A parable unto them, saying, The ground of A certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, A treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
44 Of A truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
46 The lord of that servant will come in A day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
50 But I have A baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
54 And he said also to the people, When ye see A cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh A shower; and so it is.
LUKE 13
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had A fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
11 And, behold, there was A woman which had A spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
16 And ought not this woman, being A daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
19 It is like A grain of mustard seed, which A man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed A great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
21 It is like leaven, which A woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that A prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as A hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
LUKE 14
2 And, behold, there was A certain man before him which had the dropsy.
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into A pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
7 And he put forth A parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.
8 When thou art bidden of any man to A wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest A more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest A dinner or A supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and A recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest A feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made A great supper, and bade many:
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought A piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married A wife, and therefore I cannot come.
28 For which of you, intending to build A tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
32 Or else, while the other is yet A great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
LUKE 15
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light A candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into A far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose A mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 And he went and joined himself to A citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet A great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put A ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me A kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
