LUKE 18 1 And he spake A parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in A city A judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was A widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for A while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one A Pharisee, and the other A publican. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me A sinner. 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as A little child shall in no wise enter therein. 18 And A certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 25 For it is easier for A camel to go through A needle's eye, than for A rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, A certain blind man sat by the way side begging: LUKE 19 2 And, behold, there was A man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into A sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must ABIDE at thy house. 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with A man that is A sinner. 9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is A son of Abraham. 11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake A parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into A far country to receive for himself A kingdom, and to return. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent A message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in A very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in A napkin: 30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find A colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. 37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with A loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast A trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it A den of thieves. LUKE 20 6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was A prophet. 9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted A vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into A far country for A long time. 10 And at the season he sent A servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. 12 And again he sent A third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. 24 Shew me A penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. 28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having A wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took A wife, and died without children. 38 For he is not A God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. 47 Which devour widows' houses, and for A shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation. LUKE 21 2 And he saw also A certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And he said, Of A truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 13 And it shall turn to you for A testimony. 15 For I will give you A mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 21 Then let them which are in Judaea FLEE to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in A cloud with power and great glory. 29 And he spake to them A parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 35 For as A snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. LUKE 22 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall A man meet you, bearing A pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 12 And he shall shew you A large upper room furnished: there make ready. 24 And there was also A strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. 29 And I appoint unto you A kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath A purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about A stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 47 And while he yet spake, behold A multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with A kiss? 52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against A thief, with swords and staves? 55 And when they had kindled A fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them. 56 But A certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him. 58 And after A little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of A truth this fellow also was with him: for he is A Galilaean. --MORE-- |
