PROVERBS 30 19 The way of AN eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. 20 Such is the way of AN adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. 23 For AN odious woman when she is married; and AN handmaid that is heir to her mistress. 31 A greyhound; AN he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up. ECCLESIASTES 4 6 Better is AN handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit. 13 Better is a poor and a wise child than AN old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished. ECCLESIASTES 5 6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was AN error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands? ECCLESIASTES 6 1 There is AN evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: 2 A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is AN evil disease. 3 If a man beget AN hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that AN untimely birth is better than he. ECCLESIASTES 7 11 Wisdom is good with AN inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. ECCLESIASTES 8 3 Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in AN evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him. 11 Because sentence against AN evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. 12 Though a sinner do evil AN hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: ECCLESIASTES 9 2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth AN oath. 3 This is AN evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead. 12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in AN evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in AN evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. ECCLESIASTES 10 5 There is AN evil which I have seen under the sun, as AN error which proceedeth from the ruler: 8 He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh AN hedge, a serpent shall bite him. SONG OF SOLOMON 4 4 Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for AN armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men. 13 Thy plants are AN orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard, SONG OF SOLOMON 6 4 Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as AN army with banners. 10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as AN army with banners? SONG OF SOLOMON 7 2 Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like AN heap of wheat set about with lilies. ISAIAH 1 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is AN abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 21 How is the faithful city become AN harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. 30 For ye shall be as AN oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water. ISAIAH 3 7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be AN healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. ISAIAH 5 10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of AN homer shall yield AN ephah. 26 And he will lift up AN ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: ISAIAH 6 13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as AN oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. ISAIAH 9 17 Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is AN hypocrite and AN evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. ISAIAH 10 6 I will send him against AN hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. ISAIAH 11 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for AN ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. 12 And he shall set up AN ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 16 And there shall be AN highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt. ISAIAH 14 19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like AN abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. ISAIAH 15 5 My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, AN heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. ISAIAH 16 4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at AN end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. 11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like AN harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh. 14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of AN hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble. ISAIAH 17 6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of AN olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel. 9 In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and AN uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. ISAIAH 18 3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up AN ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. ISAIAH 19 19 In that day shall there be AN altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. ISAIAH 21 16 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of AN hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail: ISAIAH 22 16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth AN habitation for himself in a rock? ISAIAH 23 15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as AN harlot. 16 Take AN harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered. ISAIAH 24 13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of AN olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done. 15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the FIRES, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. --MORE-- |
