PSALM 112 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is FIXED, trusting in the LORD. JEREMIAH 2 8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by BAAL, and walked after things that do not profit. JEREMIAH 12 16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to swear by BAAL; then shall they be built in the midst of my people. JEREMIAH 19 5 They have built also the high places of BAAL, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto BAAL, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: JEREMIAH 23 13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in BAAL, and caused my people Israel to err. 27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for BAAL. JEREMIAH 32 29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto BAAL, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger. 35 And they built the high places of BAAL, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. HOSEA 2 8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for BAAL. HOSEA 13 1 When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in BAAL, he died. ZEPHANIAH 1 4 I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of BAAL from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; LUKE 16 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf FIXED: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
