JUDGES 19 30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the LAND of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds. JUDGES 20 1 Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the LAND of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh. JUDGES 21 12 And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the LAND of Canaan. 21 And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the LAND of Benjamin. RUTH 1 1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the LAND. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. 7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the LAND of Judah. RUTH 2 11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the LAND of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. RUTH 4 3 And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of LAND, which was our brother Elimelech's: 6 And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, LEST I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it. 1 SAMUEL 1 13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her LIPS moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. 1 SAMUEL 6 5 Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the LAND; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your LAND. 1 SAMUEL 9 4 And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the LAND of Shalisha, but they found them not: then they passed through the LAND of Shalim, and there they were not: and he passed through the LAND of the Benjamites, but they found them not. 5 And when they were come to the LAND of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; LEST my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us. 16 To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the LAND of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me. 1 SAMUEL 12 6 And Samuel said unto the people, It is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the LAND of Egypt. 1 SAMUEL 13 3 And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the LAND, saying, Let the Hebrews hear. 7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the LAND of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. 17 And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah, unto the LAND of Shual: 19 Now there was no smith found throughout all the LAND of Israel: for the Philistines said, LEST the Hebrews make them swords or spears: 1 SAMUEL 14 14 And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of LAND, which a yoke of oxen might plow. 25 And all they of the LAND came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground. 29 Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the LAND: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey. 1 SAMUEL 15 6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, LEST I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the LAMBS, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. 1 SAMUEL 20 3 And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, LEST he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death. 1 SAMUEL 21 11 And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the LAND? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? 1 SAMUEL 22 5 And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the LAND of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth. 1 SAMUEL 23 23 See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the LAND, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah. 27 But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the LAND. 1 SAMUEL 25 23 And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and LIGHTED off the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, 1 SAMUEL 27 1 And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the LAND of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand. 8 And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the LAND, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the LAND of Egypt. 9 And David smote the LAND, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish. 11 And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, LEST they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 28 3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the LAND. 9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the LAND: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? 1 SAMUEL 29 4 And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, LEST in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men? 11 So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the LAND of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel. 1 SAMUEL 30 16 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the LAND of the Philistines, and out of the LAND of Judah. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; LEST these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the LAND of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people. 2 SAMUEL 1 20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; LEST the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, LEST the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph. 2 SAMUEL 3 12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the LAND? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee. 2 SAMUEL 5 6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the LAND: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither. 2 SAMUEL 9 7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the LAND of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually. 10 Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the LAND for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. 2 SAMUEL 10 2 Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the LAND of the children of Ammon. 2 SAMUEL 12 28 Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: LEST I take the city, and it be called after my name. 2 SAMUEL 13 25 And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, LEST we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him. 2 SAMUEL 14 11 Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, LEST they destroy my son. And he said, As the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth. --MORE-- |
