NUMBERS 32 33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round ABOUT. NUMBERS 34 12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round ABOUT. NUMBERS 35 2 Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round ABOUT them. 4 And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round ABOUT. 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 4 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 6 14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round ABOUT you; DEUTERONOMY 12 10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round ABOUT, so that ye dwell in safety; DEUTERONOMY 13 7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round ABOUT you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; DEUTERONOMY 17 14 When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are ABOUT me; DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 21 2 Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round ABOUT him that is slain: DEUTERONOMY 25 19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round ABOUT, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it. DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 31 21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go ABOUT, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware. DEUTERONOMY 32 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him ABOUT, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. JOSHUA 2 5 And it came to pass ABOUT the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. JOSHUA 3 4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, ABOUT two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. JOSHUA 4 13 ABOUT forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho. JOSHUA 6 3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round ABOUT the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. 11 So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going ABOUT it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp. 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early ABOUT the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. JOSHUA 7 3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let ABOUT two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. 4 So there went up thither of the people ABOUT three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. 5 And the men of Ai smote of them ABOUT thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 12 And he took ABOUT five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. JOSHUA 10 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down ABOUT a whole day. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow ABOUT this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JOSHUA 15 12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round ABOUT according to their families. JOSHUA 16 6 And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went ABOUT eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah; JOSHUA 18 20 And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round ABOUT, according to their families. JOSHUA 19 8 And all the villages that were round ABOUT these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. JOSHUA 20 3 That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may FLEE thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 And when he that doth FLEE unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. 9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might FLEE thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. JOSHUA 21 11 And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round ABOUT it. 42 These cities were every one with their suburbs round ABOUT them: thus were all these cities. 44 And the LORD gave them rest round ABOUT, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. JOSHUA 23 1 And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round ABOUT, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age. JUDGES 2 12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round ABOUT them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. 14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round ABOUT, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. --MORE-- |
