MARK 16 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw A young man sitting on the right side, clothed in A long white garment; and they were affrighted. LUKE 1 1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order A declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, 5 THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, A certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee A son, and thou shalt call his name John. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready A people prepared for the Lord. 22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen A vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto A city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To A virgin espoused to A man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth A son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not A man? 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived A son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into A city of Juda; 42 And she spake out with A loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be A performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. 57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth A son. 63 And he asked for A writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. LUKE 2 1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out A decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in A manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David A Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be A sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in A manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel A multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in A manger. 24 And to offer A sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. 25 And, behold, there was A man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. 34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for A sign which shall be spoken against; 35 (Yea, A sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. 36 And there was one Anna, A prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of A great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; 37 And she was A widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went A day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. LUKE 3 7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to FLEE from the wrath to come? 22 And the Holy Ghost descended in A bodily shape like A dove upon him, and A voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. LUKE 4 5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in A moment of time. 9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on A pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: 11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against A stone. 13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for A season. 14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out A fame of him through all the region round about. 25 But I tell you of A truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, A city of Sidon, unto A woman that was A widow. 31 And came down to Capernaum, A city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. 33 And in the synagogue there was A man, which had A spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with A loud voice, 36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What A word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. 38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with A great fever; and they besought him for her. 42 And when it was day, he departed and went into A desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. LUKE 5 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out A little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for A draught. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed A great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am A sinful man, O Lord. 12 And it came to pass, when he was in A certain city, behold A man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for A testimony unto them. 15 But so much the more went there A fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. 17 And it came to pass on A certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 And, behold, men brought in A bed A man which was taken with A palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. 27 And after these things he went forth, and saw A publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 29 And Levi made him A great feast in his own house: and there was A great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not A physician; but they that are sick. 36 And he spake also A parable unto them; No man putteth A piece of A new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh A rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. --MORE-- |
