JEREMIAH 22 5 But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become A desolation. 6 For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee A wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited. 14 That saith, I will build me A wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. 23 O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of A woman in travail! 28 Is this man Coniah A despised broken idol? is he A vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into A land which they know not? 30 Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, A man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah. JEREMIAH 23 5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David A righteous Branch, and A King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like A drunken man, and like A man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness. 16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak A vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. 19 Behold, A whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even A grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. 23 Am I A God at hand, saith the LORD, and not A God afar off? 28 The prophet that hath A dream, let him tell A dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. 29 Is not my word like as A fire? saith the LORD; and like A hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 33 And when this people, or the prophet, or A priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. 40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and A perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten. JEREMIAH 24 9 And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be A reproach and A proverb, A taunt and A curse, in all places whither I shall drive them. JEREMIAH 25 11 And this whole land shall be A desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them A desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and A curse; as it is this day; 29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for A sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. 30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give A shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath A controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD. 32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and A great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. 34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like A pleasant vessel. 36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture. JEREMIAH 26 2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not A word: 6 Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city A curse to all the nations of the earth. 15 But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of A truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears. 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like A field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of A forest. 20 And there was also A man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah. JEREMIAH 27 10 For they prophesy A lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. 14 Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy A lie unto you. 15 For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy A lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. 16 Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy A lie unto you. JEREMIAH 28 14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put A yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in A lie. JEREMIAH 29 18 And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be A curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and A reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: 21 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy A lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes; 22 And of them shall be taken up A curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire; 23 Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am A witness, saith the LORD. 26 The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself A prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks. 27 Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself A prophet to you? 31 Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in A lie: 32 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have A man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD. JEREMIAH 30 2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in A book. 5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard A voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. 6 Ask ye now, and see whether A man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as A woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? 11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make A full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make A full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of A cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be A spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for A prey. 23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, A continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. --MORE-- |
