DEUTERONOMY 20 3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your HEARTS faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; 8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's HEART faint as well as his HEART. DEUTERONOMY 24 15 At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his HEART upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee. DEUTERONOMY 26 16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine HEART, and with all thy soul. DEUTERONOMY 28 28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of HEART: 47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of HEART, for the abundance of all things; 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling HEART, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine HEART wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. DEUTERONOMY 29 4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an HEART to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. 18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose HEART turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; 19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his HEART, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine HEART, to add drunkenness to thirst: DEUTERONOMY 30 2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine HEART, and with all thy soul; 6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine HEART, and the HEART of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine HEART, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. 10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine HEART, and with all thy soul. 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy HEART, that thou mayest do it. 17 But if thine HEART turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; DEUTERONOMY 32 46 And he said unto them, Set your HEARTS unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. JOSHUA 2 11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our HEARTS did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. JOSHUA 5 1 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their HEART melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel. JOSHUA 7 5 And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the HEARTS of the people melted, and became as water. JOSHUA 11 20 For it was of the LORD to harden their HEARTS, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses. JOSHUA 14 7 Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine HEART. 8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the HEART of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God. JOSHUA 22 5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your HEART and with all your soul. JOSHUA 23 14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your HEARTS and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. JOSHUA 24 23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your HEART unto the LORD God of Israel. JUDGES 5 9 My HEART is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD. 15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of HEART. 16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of HEART. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 9 3 And his mother's brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their HEARTS inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He is our brother. JUDGES 16 15 And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine HEART is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. 17 That he told her all his HEART, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man. 18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his HEART, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his HEART. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. 25 And it came to pass, when their HEARTS were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars. JUDGES 18 20 And the priest's HEART was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people. JUDGES 19 5 And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine HEART with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way. 6 And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine HEART be merry. 8 And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine HEART, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them. 9 And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine HEART may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home. 22 Now as they were making their HEARTS merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. RUTH 3 7 And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his HEART was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down. 1 SAMUEL 1 8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy HEART grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons? 13 Now Hannah, she spake in her HEART; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. 1 SAMUEL 2 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My HEART rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. 33 And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine HEART: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age. 35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine HEART and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. --MORE-- |
