ISAIAH 9 1 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly AFFLICTED the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. ISAIAH 54 11 O thou AFFLICTED, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. ISAIAH 58 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we AFFLICTED our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. 10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the AFFLICTED soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: ISAIAH 60 14 The sons also of them that AFFLICTED thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
