NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 2 12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD GAVE unto them. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 22 16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I GAVE my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 29 8 And we took their land, and GAVE it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh. DEUTERONOMY 31 23 And he GAVE Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee. JOSHUA 1 14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses GAVE you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; 15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant GAVE you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. JOSHUA 11 23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua GAVE it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. JOSHUA 12 6 Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD GAVE it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh. 7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua GAVE unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions; JOSHUA 13 8 With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses GAVE them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD GAVE them; 14 Only unto the tribes of Levi he GAVE none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them. 15 And Moses GAVE unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families. 24 And Moses GAVE inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families. 29 And Moses GAVE inheritance unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and this was the possession of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families. 33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses GAVE not any inheritance: the LORD God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them. JOSHUA 14 3 For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Jordan: but unto the Levites he GAVE none inheritance among them. 4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they GAVE no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. 13 And Joshua blessed him, and GAVE unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. JOSHUA 15 13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he GAVE a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron. 17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he GAVE him Achsah his daughter to wife. 19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he GAVE her the upper springs, and the nether springs. JOSHUA 17 4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he GAVE them an inheritance among the brethren of their father. JOSHUA 18 7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD GAVE them. --MORE-- |
