DEUTERONOMY 8 5 Thou shalt ALSO consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. DEUTERONOMY 9 8 ALSO in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you. 19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time ALSO. 20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron ALSO the same time. DEUTERONOMY 15 17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And ALSO unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit ALSO of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 20 6 And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him ALSO go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it. DEUTERONOMY 23 12 Thou shalt have a place ALSO without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad: DEUTERONOMY 26 13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and ALSO have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them. DEUTERONOMY 28 51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which ALSO shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. 61 ALSO every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. DEUTERONOMY 29 15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and ALSO with him that is not here with us this day: DEUTERONOMY 31 2 And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: ALSO the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan. DEUTERONOMY 32 24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will ALSO send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust. 25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling ALSO with the man of gray hairs. DEUTERONOMY 33 28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; ALSO his heavens shall drop down dew. JOSHUA 1 15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they ALSO have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. JOSHUA 2 12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will ALSO shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token: JOSHUA 7 2 And Joshua sent men from Jericho to AI, which is beside Bethaven, on the east of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed AI. 3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite AI; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. 4 So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of AI. 5 And the men of AI smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. 11 Israel hath sinned, and they have ALSO transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have ALSO stolen, and dissembled ALSO, and they have put it even among their own stuff. JOSHUA 8 1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to AI: see, I have given into thy hand the king of AI, and his people, and his city, and his land: 2 And thou shalt do to AI and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it. 3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against AI: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night. 9 Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and AI, on the west side of AI: but Joshua lodged that night among the people. 10 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to AI. 11 And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of AI: now there was a valley between them and AI. 12 And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and AI, on the west side of the city. 14 And it came to pass, when the king of AI saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city. 16 And all the people that were in AI were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city. 17 And there was not a man left in AI or Bethel, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel. 18 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward AI; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city. 20 And when the men of AI looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. 21 And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of AI. 23 And the king of AI they took alive, and brought him to Joshua. 24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of AI in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto AI, and smote it with the edge of the sword. 25 And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of AI. 26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of AI. 28 And Joshua burnt AI, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day. 29 And the king of AI he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day. JOSHUA 9 3 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to AI, JOSHUA 10 1 Now it came to pass, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken AI, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to AI and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them; 2 That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than AI, and all the men thereof were mighty. 30 And the LORD delivered it ALSO, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho. 39 And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done ALSO to Libnah, and to her king. JOSHUA 12 9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of AI, which is beside Bethel, one; JOSHUA 13 3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; ALSO the Avites: 22 Balaam ALSO the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them. --MORE-- |
