NUMBERS 2 14 Then the tribe of GAD: and the captain of the sons of GAD shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel. NUMBERS 32 1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of GAD had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; 2 The children of GAD and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying, 6 And Moses said unto the children of GAD and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here? 25 And the children of GAD and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth. 29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of GAD and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession: 31 And the children of GAD and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do. 33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of GAD, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about. 34 And the children of GAD built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer, NUMBERS 34 14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of GAD according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance: DEUTERONOMY 1 9 And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not ABLE to bear you myself alone: DEUTERONOMY 7 24 And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be ABLE to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them. JOSHUA 1 5 There shall not any man be ABLE to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. JOSHUA 4 12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of GAD, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them: JOSHUA 13 24 And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of GAD, even unto the children of GAD according to their families. 28 This is the inheritance of the children of GAD after their families, the cities, and their villages. JOSHUA 14 12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be ABLE to drive them out, as the LORD said. JOSHUA 18 7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and GAD, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. JOSHUA 20 8 And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of GAD, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh. JOSHUA 21 7 The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of GAD, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 38 And out of the tribe of GAD, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs, JOSHUA 22 9 And the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 10 And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to. 11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel. 13 And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of GAD, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, 15 And they came unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of GAD, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, unto the land of Gilead, and they spake with them, saying, 21 Then the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh answered, and said unto the heads of the thousands of Israel, 25 For the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of GAD; ye have no part in the LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD. 30 And when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them. 31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of GAD, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD. 32 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of GAD, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again. 33 And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and GAD dwelt. 34 And the children of Reuben and the children of GAD called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God. --MORE-- |
