DEUTERONOMY 16 17 Every man shall give as he is ABLE, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 27 13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, GAD, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali. DEUTERONOMY 33 20 And of GAD he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth GAD: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head. JOSHUA 1 5 There shall not any man be ABLE to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. JOSHUA 4 12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of GAD, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them: JOSHUA 13 24 And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of GAD, even unto the children of GAD according to their families. 28 This is the inheritance of the children of GAD after their families, the cities, and their villages. JOSHUA 14 12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be ABLE to drive them out, as the LORD said. JOSHUA 18 7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and GAD, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. JOSHUA 20 8 And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of GAD, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh. JOSHUA 21 7 The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of GAD, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 38 And out of the tribe of GAD, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs, JOSHUA 22 9 And the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 10 And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to. 11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel. 13 And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of GAD, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, 15 And they came unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of GAD, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, unto the land of Gilead, and they spake with them, saying, 21 Then the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh answered, and said unto the heads of the thousands of Israel, 25 For the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of GAD; ye have no part in the LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD. 30 And when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of GAD and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them. 31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of GAD, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD. 32 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of GAD, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again. 33 And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and GAD dwelt. 34 And the children of Reuben and the children of GAD called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God. JOSHUA 23 9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been ABLE to stand before you unto this day. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 8 3 God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I ABLE to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that. 1 SAMUEL 6 20 And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is ABLE to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us? 1 SAMUEL 13 7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of GAD and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. 1 SAMUEL 17 9 If he be ABLE to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. 33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not ABLE to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. 1 SAMUEL 22 5 And the prophet GAD said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth. 1 SAMUEL 24 14 After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a FLEA. 1 SAMUEL 26 20 Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a FLEA, as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains. 2 SAMUEL 22 2 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my FORTRESS, and my deliverer; 2 SAMUEL 24 5 And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of GAD, and toward Jazer: 11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet GAD, David's seer, saying, 13 So GAD came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. 14 And David said unto GAD, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. 18 And GAD came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite. 19 And David, according to the saying of GAD, went up as the LORD commanded. 1 KINGS 3 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is ABLE to judge this thy so great a people? 1 KINGS 9 21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not ABLE utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day. 2 KINGS 3 21 And when all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight against them, they gathered all that were ABLE to put on armour, and upward, and stood in the border. 2 KINGS 18 23 Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be ABLE on thy part to set riders upon them. 29 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be ABLE to deliver you out of his hand: --MORE-- |
