1 THESSALONIANS 2 2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, AS ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention. 4 But AS we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not AS pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. 5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, AS ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: 6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, AS the apostles of Christ. 7 But we were gentle among you, even AS a nurse cherisheth her children: 11 AS ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, AS a father doth his children, 13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not AS the word of men, but AS it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even AS they have of the Jews: 1 THESSALONIANS 3 4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even AS it came to pass, and ye know. 6 But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, AS we also to see you: 12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even AS we do toward you: 1 THESSALONIANS 4 1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that AS ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even AS the Gentiles which know not God: 6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, AS we also have forewarned you and testified. 9 But AS touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. 11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, AS we commanded you; 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even AS others which have no hope. 1 THESSALONIANS 5 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh AS a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, AS travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you AS a thief. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, AS do others; but let us watch and be sober. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even AS also ye do. 2 THESSALONIANS 1 3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, AS it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; 2 THESSALONIANS 2 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter AS from us, AS that the day of Christ is at hand. 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he AS God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 THESSALONIANS 3 1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even AS it is with you: 15 Yet count him not AS an enemy, but admonish him AS a brother. 1 TIMOTHY 1 3 AS I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 1 TIMOTHY 5 1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him AS a father; and the younger men AS brethren; 2 The elder women AS mothers; the younger AS sisters, with all purity. 1 TIMOTHY 6 1 Let AS many servants AS are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. 2 TIMOTHY 2 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, AS a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 9 Wherein I suffer trouble, AS an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. 17 And their word will eat AS doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 2 TIMOTHY 3 8 Now AS Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, AS their's also was. TITUS 1 5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, AS I had appointed thee: 7 For a bishop must be blameless, AS the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 9 Holding fast the faithful word AS he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. TITUS 2 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour AS becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; PHILEMON 1 9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one AS Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. 14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be AS it were of necessity, but willingly. 16 Not now AS a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? 17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him AS myself. HEBREWS 1 4 Being made so much better than the angels, AS he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old AS doth a garment; 12 And AS a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. HEBREWS 2 14 Forasmuch then AS the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; HEBREWS 3 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, AS also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch AS he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, AS a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ AS a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. 7 Wherefore (AS the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, AS in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, AS in the provocation. --MORE-- |
