JEREMIAH 24 3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the EVIL, very EVIL, that cannot be eaten, they are so EVIL. 8 And as the EVIL figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so EVIL; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt: JEREMIAH 25 5 They said, Turn ye again now every one from his EVIL way, and from the EVIL of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: 29 For, lo, I begin to bring EVIL on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. 32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, EVIL shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 26 3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his EVIL way, that I may repent me of the EVIL, which I purpose to do unto them because of the EVIL of their doings. 13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the EVIL that he hath pronounced against you. 19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the EVIL which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great EVIL against our souls. JEREMIAH 29 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of EVIL, to give you an expected end. 17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so EVIL. JEREMIAH 37 JEREMIAH 38 9 My lord the king, these men have done EVIL in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the city. JEREMIAH 44 2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the EVIL that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein, 7 Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great EVIL against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain; 11 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for EVIL, and to cut off all Judah. 17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no EVIL. 22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the EVIL of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. 23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this EVIL is happened unto you, as at this day. 27 Behold, I will watch over them for EVIL, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them. 29 And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for EVIL: JEREMIAH 45 5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring EVIL upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest. JEREMIAH 48 2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised EVIL against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the EVIL thereof.
