JOB 17 3 Lay down now, put me in A surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me? 6 He hath made me also A byword of the people; and aforetime I was as A tabret. 7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as A shadow. JOB 18 8 For he is cast into A net by his own feet, and he walketh upon A snare. 10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and A trap for him in the way. JOB 19 10 He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like A tree. 15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for A stranger: I am an alien in their sight. 23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in A book! 29 Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is A judgment. JOB 20 5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for A moment? 8 He shall fly away as A dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as A vision of the night. 26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: A fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle. 29 This is the portion of A wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. JOB 21 11 They send forth their little ones like A flock, and their children dance. 13 They spend their days in wealth, and in A moment go down to the grave. JOB 22 2 Can A man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself? 6 For thou hast taken A pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing. 14 Thick clouds are A covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven. 16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with A flood: 28 Thou shalt also decree A thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. JOB 24 3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for A pledge. 5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for A prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children. 8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of A shelter. 9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take A pledge of the poor. 14 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as A thief. 20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as A tree. 24 They are exalted for A little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn. 25 And if it be not so now, who will make me A liar, and make my speech nothing worth? JOB 25 4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of A woman? 6 How much less man, that is A worm? and the son of man, which is A worm? JOB 26 14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little A portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? JOB 27 13 This is the portion of A wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty. 18 He buildeth his house as A moth, and as A booth that the keeper maketh. 20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, A tempest stealeth him away in the night. 21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as A storm hurleth him out of his place. JOB 28 1 Surely there is A vein for the silver, and A place for gold where they fine it. 7 There is A path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen: 26 When he made A decree for the rain, and A way for the lightning of the thunder: JOB 29 14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as A robe and A diadem. 16 I was A father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. 25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as A king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners. JOB 30 5 They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after A thief;) 14 They came upon me as A wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me. 15 Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as A cloud. 29 I am A brother to dragons, and A companion to owls. JOB 31 1 I made A covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon A maid? 3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and A strange punishment to the workers of iniquity? 9 If mine heart have been deceived by A woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; 12 For it is A fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase. 18 (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with A father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;) 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; 23 For destruction from God was A terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure. 30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing A curse to his soul. 34 Did I fear A great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door? 35 Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written A book. 36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as A crown to me. 37 I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as A prince would I go near unto him. --MORE-- |
