NUMBERS 12 3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the FACE of the earth.) 14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her FACE, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. NUMBERS 14 14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen FACE to FACE, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. NUMBERS 24 1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his FACE toward the wilderness. 11 Therefore now FLEE thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour. NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 1 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the FACE of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. DEUTERONOMY 4 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 5 4 The LORD talked with you FACE to FACE in the mount out of the midst of the fire, DEUTERONOMY 6 15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the FACE of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 7 6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the FACE of the earth. 10 And repayeth them that hate him to their FACE, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his FACE. DEUTERONOMY 8 20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your FACE, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God. DEUTERONOMY 9 3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy FACE: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 25 2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his FACE, according to his fault, by a certain number. 9 Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his FACE, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house. DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy FACE: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy FACE, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. DEUTERONOMY 31 5 And the LORD shall give them up before your FACE, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you. 17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my FACE from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? 18 And I will surely hide my FACE in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods. DEUTERONOMY 32 20 And he said, I will hide my FACE from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. DEUTERONOMY 34 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew FACE to FACE, JOSHUA 5 14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his FACE to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant? JOSHUA 7 6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his FACE before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads. 10 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy FACE? JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. JOSHUA 20 3 That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may FLEE thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 And when he that doth FLEE unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. 9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might FLEE thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. JUDGES 6 22 And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD FACE to FACE. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 20 32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us FLEE, and draw them from the city unto the highways. --MORE-- |
