JUDGES 3 29 And they slew of Moab at that time ABOUT ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man. JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. 21 And they stood every man in his place round ABOUT the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled. JUDGES 8 10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, ABOUT fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword. 26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were ABOUT their camels' necks. JUDGES 9 49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, ABOUT a thousand men and women. JUDGES 16 27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof ABOUT three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport. JUDGES 17 2 And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, ABOUT which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son. JUDGES 19 22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round ABOUT, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. 30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take ADVICE, and speak your minds. JUDGES 20 5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round ABOUT upon me by night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead. 7 Behold, ye are all children of Israel; give here your ADVICE and counsel. 29 And Israel set liers in wait round ABOUT Gibeah. 31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in the field, ABOUT thirty men of Israel. 39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel ABOUT thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle. 43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round ABOUT, and chased them, and trode them down with ease over against Gibeah toward the sunrising. RUTH 1 4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there ABOUT ten years. 19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved ABOUT them, and they said, Is this Naomi? RUTH 2 17 So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was ABOUT an ephah of barley. RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 1 20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come ABOUT after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD. 1 SAMUEL 4 2 And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field ABOUT four thousand men. 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 20 And ABOUT the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it. 1 SAMUEL 5 8 They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried ABOUT unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel ABOUT thither. 9 And it was so, that, after they had carried it ABOUT, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. 10 Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought ABOUT the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. Now therefore get you up; for ABOUT this time ye shall find him. 16 To morrow ABOUT this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me. 22 And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were ABOUT thirty persons. 26 And they arose early: and it came to pass ABOUT the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the top of the house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD. --MORE-- |
