ZECHARIAH 10 2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen A lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as A flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. 7 And they of Ephraim shall be like A mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. ZECHARIAH 11 3 There is A voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: A voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: A goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. 15 And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of A foolish shepherd. 16 For, lo, I will raise up A shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. ZECHARIAH 12 2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem A cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem A burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. 6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like A torch of fire in A sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. 11 In that day shall there be A great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. ZECHARIAH 13 1 In that day there shall be A fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. 4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear A rough garment to deceive: ZECHARIAH 14 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be A very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 10 All the land shall be turned as A plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that A great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. MALACHI 1 6 A son honoureth his father, and A servant his master: if then I be A father, where is mine honour? and if I be A master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? 11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and A pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts. 13 Ye said also, Behold, what A weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD. 14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock A male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the LORD A corrupt thing: for I am A great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen. MALACHI 2 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send A curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. 11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of A strange god. 15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek A godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. MALACHI 3 2 But who may ABIDE the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like A refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: 3 And he shall sit as A refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. 5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be A swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts. 8 Will A man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with A curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out A blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be A delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. 16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and A book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as A man spareth his own son that serveth him. MALACHI 4 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with A curse. MATTHEW 1 19 Then Joseph her husband, being A just man, and not willing to make her A publick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in A dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth A son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 23 Behold, A virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth A son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. MATTHEW 2 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come A Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. 12 And being warned of God in A dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in A dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 18 In Rama was there A voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not. 19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in A dream to Joseph in Egypt, 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in A dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: 23 And he came and dwelt in A city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called A Nazarene. MATTHEW 3 4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and A leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like A dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo A voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. MATTHEW 4 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on A pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against A stone. 18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting A net into the sea: for they were fishers. 21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in A ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. --MORE-- |
