DEUTERONOMY 28 9 The LORD shall establish thee AN holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways. 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go AFTER other gods to serve them. 22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with AN inflammation, and with AN extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. 30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build AN house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. 37 And thou shalt become AN astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. DEUTERONOMY 29 4 Yet the LORD hath not given you AN heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. 8 And we took their land, and gave it for AN inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh. 22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up AFTER you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it; DEUTERONOMY 31 2 And he said unto them, I am AN hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan. 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring AFTER the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. 24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made AN end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, 27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more AFTER my death? 29 For I know that AFTER my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands. DEUTERONOMY 32 11 As AN eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: 45 And Moses made AN end of speaking all these words to all Israel: DEUTERONOMY 33 7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou AN help to him from his enemies. DEUTERONOMY 34 7 And Moses was AN hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. JOSHUA 1 1 Now AFTER the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for AN inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. JOSHUA 2 1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into AN harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there. 5 And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue AFTER them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. 7 And the men pursued AFTER them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued AFTER them were gone out, they shut the gate. JOSHUA 3 2 And it came to pass AFTER three days, that the officers went through the host; 3 And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go AFTER it. 13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon AN heap. 16 That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon AN heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. JOSHUA 5 4 And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, AFTER they came out of Egypt. 11 And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow AFTER the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day. 12 And the manna ceased on the morrow AFTER they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. JOSHUA 6 9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came AFTER the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. 13 And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came AFTER the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city AFTER the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. JOSHUA 7 13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is AN accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. 25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, AFTER they had stoned them with stones. JOSHUA 8 2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee AN ambush for the city behind it. 6 (For they will come out AFTER us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them. 16 And all the people that were in Ai were called together to pursue AFTER them: and they pursued AFTER Joshua, and were drawn away from the city. 17 And there was not a man left in Ai or Bethel, that went not out AFTER Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued AFTER Israel. 24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made AN end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword. 28 And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it AN heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day. 30 Then Joshua built AN altar unto the LORD God of Israel in mount Ebal, 31 As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, AN altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings. JOSHUA 9 16 And it came to pass at the end of three days AFTER they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them. JOSHUA 10 14 And there was no day like that before it or AFTER it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. 19 And stay ye not, but pursue AFTER your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand. 20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made AN end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities. JOSHUA 11 23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for AN inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. JOSHUA 13 6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for AN inheritance, as I have commanded thee. 7 Now therefore divide this land for AN inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh, 23 And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben AFTER their families, the cities and the villages thereof. 28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad AFTER their families, the cities, and their villages. --MORE-- |
