AMOS 6 3 Ye that put far away the EVIL day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; AMOS 9 4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for EVIL, and not for good. 10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The EVIL shall not overtake nor prevent us. JONAH 1 7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this EVIL is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah. 8 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this EVIL is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? JONAH 3 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his EVIL way, and from the violence that is in their hands. 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their EVIL way; and God repented of the EVIL, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. JONAH 4 2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the EVIL. MICAH 1 12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but EVIL came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem. MICAH 2 1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work EVIL upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. 3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an EVIL, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is EVIL. MICAH 3 2 Who hate the good, and love the EVIL; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; 11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none EVIL can come upon us. MICAH 7 3 That they may do EVIL with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up. NAHUM 1 11 There is one come out of thee, that imagineth EVIL against the LORD, a wicked counsellor. HABAKKUK 1 13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold EVIL, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? HABAKKUK 2 9 Woe to him that coveteth an EVIL covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of EVIL! ZEPHANIAH 1 12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do EVIL. ZEPHANIAH 3 15 The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see EVIL any more. ZECHARIAH 1 4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your EVIL ways, and from your EVIL doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. ZECHARIAH 7 10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine EVIL against his brother in your heart. ZECHARIAH 8 17 And let none of you imagine EVIL in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD. MALACHI 1 8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not EVIL? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not EVIL? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts. MALACHI 2 17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth EVIL is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment? MATTHEW 5 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of EVIL against you falsely, for my sake. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of EVIL. 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not EVIL: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the EVIL and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. MATTHEW 6 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from EVIL: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 23 But if thine eye be EVIL, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the EVIL thereof. MATTHEW 7 11 If ye then, being EVIL, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth EVIL fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth EVIL fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. MATTHEW 9 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye EVIL in your hearts? MATTHEW 12 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being EVIL, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an EVIL man out of the EVIL treasure bringeth forth EVIL things. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An EVIL and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: MATTHEW 15 19 For out of the heart proceed EVIL thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: MATTHEW 20 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye EVIL, because I am good? MATTHEW 24 48 But and if that EVIL servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; MATTHEW 27 23 And the governor said, Why, what EVIL hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. MARK 3 4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do EVIL? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. MARK 7 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed EVIL thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an EVIL eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these EVIL things come from within, and defile the man. MARK 9 39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak EVIL of me. MARK 15 14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what EVIL hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. LUKE 6 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do EVIL? to save life, or to destroy it? 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as EVIL, for the Son of man's sake. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the EVIL. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an EVIL man out of the EVIL treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is EVIL: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. --MORE-- |
