JOSHUA 19 2 And they HAD in their inheritance Beersheba, and Sheba, and Moladah, 9 Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon HAD their inheritance within the inheritance of them. 49 When they HAD made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: JOSHUA 20 8 And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and GOLAN in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh. JOSHUA 21 4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, HAD by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities. 5 And the rest of the children of Kohath HAD by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities. 6 And the children of Gershon HAD by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities. 7 The children of Merari by their families HAD out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 10 Which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, HAD: for theirs was the first lot. 20 And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they HAD the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim. 27 And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave GOLAN in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs; two cities. 45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD HAD spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. JUDGES 6 3 And so it was, when Israel HAD sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them; 27 Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD HAD said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 20 36 So the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they HAD set beside Gibeah. 2 SAMUEL 4 2 And Saul's son HAD two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin. 4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, HAD a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth. 2 SAMUEL 15 2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that HAD a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel. 24 And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people HAD done passing out of the city. 30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and HAD his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up. 2 SAMUEL 17 14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD HAD appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom. 18 Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which HAD a well in his court; whither they went down. 20 And when Absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they HAD sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem. 2 SAMUEL 18 18 Now Absalom in his lifetime HAD taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place. 33 And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I HAD died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son! 2 SAMUEL 19 6 In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom HAD lived, and all we HAD died this day, then it HAD pleased thee well. 8 Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel HAD fled every man to his tent. 24 And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and HAD neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace. 32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he HAD provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man. 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first HAD in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel. 2 SAMUEL 24 8 So when they HAD gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days. 10 And David's heart smote him after that he HAD numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. 1 KINGS 12 8 But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they HAD given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him: 12 So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king HAD appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day. 32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he HAD made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he HAD made. 33 So he offered upon the altar which he HAD made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he HAD devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense. 2 KINGS 9 14 So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram HAD kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria. 15 But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians HAD given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel. 31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, HAD Zimri peace, who slew his master? 1 CHRONICLES 1 1 CHRONICLES 6 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark HAD rest. 32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon HAD built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order. 49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God HAD commanded. 66 And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath HAD cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim. 71 Unto the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, GOLAN in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs: 1 CHRONICLES 18 9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David HAD smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah; 10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he HAD fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer HAD war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass. --MORE-- |
