DEUTERONOMY 33 24 And of ASHER he said, Let ASHER be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. JOSHUA 19 24 And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of ASHER according to their families. 31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of ASHER according to their families, these cities with their villages. 34 And then the coast turneth westward to Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to ASHER on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the sunrising. JOSHUA 20 3 That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may FLEE thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 And when he that doth FLEE unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. 9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might FLEE thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. JOSHUA 21 6 And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of ASHER, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities. 30 And out of the tribe of ASHER, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs, JUDGES 1 31 Neither did ASHER drive out the inhabitants of Accho, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob: JUDGES 5 17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? ASHER continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches. JUDGES 6 35 And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto ASHER, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. --MORE-- |
