ISAIAH 65 9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall DWELL there. JEREMIAH 4 29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man DWELL therein. JEREMIAH 5 6 Wherefore a lion out of the FOREST shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. JEREMIAH 7 3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to DWELL in this place. 7 Then will I cause you to DWELL in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. JEREMIAH 8 16 The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that DWELL therein. 19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that DWELL in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities? JEREMIAH 9 26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that DWELL in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart. JEREMIAH 10 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the FOREST, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. JEREMIAH 12 4 How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that DWELL therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end. 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the FOREST; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. JEREMIAH 20 6 And thou, Pashur, and all that DWELL in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies. JEREMIAH 21 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the FOREST thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 23 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall DWELL safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. 8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall DWELL in their own land. JEREMIAH 24 8 And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that DWELL in the land of Egypt: JEREMIAH 25 5 They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and DWELL in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: 24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that DWELL in the desert, JEREMIAH 26 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a FOREST. JEREMIAH 27 11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and DWELL therein. JEREMIAH 29 5 Build ye houses, and DWELL in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; 28 For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and DWELL in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 32 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to DWELL among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD. JEREMIAH 31 24 And there shall DWELL in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks. JEREMIAH 32 37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to DWELL safely: JEREMIAH 33 16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall DWELL safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. JEREMIAH 35 7 Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall DWELL in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers. 9 Nor to build houses for us to DWELL in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed: 11 But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we DWELL at Jerusalem. 15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall DWELL in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. JEREMIAH 40 5 Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and DWELL with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go. 9 And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: DWELL in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. 10 As for me, behold, I will DWELL at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and DWELL in your cities that ye have taken. JEREMIAH 42 13 But if ye say, We will not DWELL in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God, 14 Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we DWELL: JEREMIAH 43 4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to DWELL in the land of Judah. 5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to DWELL in the land of Judah; JEREMIAH 44 1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which DWELL in the land of Egypt, which DWELL at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying, 8 In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to DWELL, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? 13 For I will punish them that DWELL in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: 14 So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to DWELL there: for none shall return but such as shall escape. 26 Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that DWELL in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth. JEREMIAH 46 23 They shall cut down her FOREST, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. JEREMIAH 47 2 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that DWELL therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. JEREMIAH 48 9 Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to DWELL therein. 28 O ye that DWELL in Moab, leave the cities, and DWELL in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth. JEREMIAH 49 1 Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people DWELL in his cities? 8 Flee ye, turn back, DWELL deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him. 18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man DWELL in it. 30 Flee, get you far off, DWELL deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you. 31 Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which DWELL alone. 33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man DWELL in it. --MORE-- |
