NUMBERS 5 25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the ALTAR: 26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the ALTAR, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water. NUMBERS 7 1 And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the ALTAR and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them; 10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the ALTAR in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the ALTAR. 11 And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the ALTAR. 84 This was the dedication of the ALTAR, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold: 88 And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the ALTAR, after that it was anointed. NUMBERS 16 38 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the ALTAR: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. 39 And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the ALTAR: 46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the ALTAR, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. NUMBERS 18 3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the ALTAR, that neither they, nor ye also, die. 5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the ALTAR: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel. 7 Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for everything of the ALTAR, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. 17 But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the ALTAR, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD. NUMBERS 22 31 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell FLAT on his face. NUMBERS 23 2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every ALTAR a bullock and a ram. 4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every ALTAR a bullock and a ram. 14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every ALTAR. 30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every ALTAR. DEUTERONOMY 12 27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the ALTAR of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the ALTAR of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh. DEUTERONOMY 16 21 Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the ALTAR of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 26 4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the ALTAR of the LORD thy God. DEUTERONOMY 27 5 And there shalt thou build an ALTAR unto the LORD thy God, an ALTAR of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them. 6 Thou shalt build the ALTAR of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God: DEUTERONOMY 33 10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine ALTAR. JOSHUA 6 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down FLAT, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down FLAT, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. JOSHUA 8 30 Then Joshua built an ALTAR unto the LORD God of Israel in mount Ebal, 31 As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an ALTAR of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings. JOSHUA 9 27 And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the ALTAR of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose. JOSHUA 22 10 And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an ALTAR by Jordan, a great ALTAR to see to. 11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an ALTAR over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel. 16 Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have builded you an ALTAR, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD? 19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building you an ALTAR beside the ALTAR of the LORD our God. 23 That we have built us an ALTAR to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let the LORD himself require it; 26 Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an ALTAR, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice: 28 Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the ALTAR of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and you. 29 God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an ALTAR for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the ALTAR of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle. 34 And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the ALTAR Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God. JUDGES 6 24 Then Gideon built an ALTAR there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. 25 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the ALTAR of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it: 26 And build an ALTAR unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down. 28 And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the ALTAR of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the ALTAR that was built. 30 Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the ALTAR of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it. 31 And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his ALTAR. 32 Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his ALTAR. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. --MORE-- |
