A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that ARE in the house. MATTHEW 6 1 Take heed that ye do not your ALMS before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine ALMS, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 But when thou doest ALMS, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine ALMS may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites ARE: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. ARE ye not much better than they? MATTHEW 7 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they ARE ravening wolves. MATTHEW 11 5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers ARE cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead ARE raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 8 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing ARE in kings' houses. 11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that ARE born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 27 All things ARE delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and ARE heavy laden, and I will give you rest. --MORE-- |
