ECCLESIASTES 5 9 Moreover the PROFIT of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field. 16 And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what PROFIT hath he that hath laboured for the wind? ECCLESIASTES 7 11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is PROFIT to them that see the sun. ECCLESIASTES 8 6 Because to every PURPOSE there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. ISAIAH 1 11 To what PURPOSE is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. ISAIAH 14 26 This is the PURPOSE that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. ISAIAH 24 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the PRISON, and after many days shall they be visited. ISAIAH 30 5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not PROFIT them, nor be an help nor PROFIT, but a shame, and also a reproach. 6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not PROFIT them. 7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no PURPOSE: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still. ISAIAH 42 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the PRISON, and them that sit in darkness out of the PRISON house. 22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in PRISON houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. ISAIAH 44 9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not PROFIT; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. ISAIAH 47 12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to PROFIT, if so be thou mayest prevail. ISAIAH 48 17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to PROFIT, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. ISAIAH 53 8 He was taken from PRISON and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. ISAIAH 57 12 I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not PROFIT thee. ISAIAH 61 1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the PRISON to them that are bound; JEREMIAH 2 8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not PROFIT. 11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not PROFIT. JEREMIAH 6 20 To what PURPOSE cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me. JEREMIAH 7 8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot PROFIT. JEREMIAH 12 13 They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not PROFIT: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD. JEREMIAH 16 19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no PROFIT. JEREMIAH 23 32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not PROFIT this people at all, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 26 3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I PURPOSE to do unto them because of the evil of their doings. JEREMIAH 29 26 The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in PRISON, and in the stocks. JEREMIAH 32 2 For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the PRISON, which was in the king of Judah's house. 8 So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the PRISON according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD. 12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the PRISON. JEREMIAH 33 1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the PRISON, saying, JEREMIAH 36 3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I PURPOSE to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin. JEREMIAH 37 4 Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into PRISON. 15 Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in PRISON in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the PRISON. 18 Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in PRISON? 21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the PRISON, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the PRISON. JEREMIAH 38 6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the PRISON: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire. 13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the PRISON. 28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the PRISON until the day that Jerusalem was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken. JEREMIAH 39 14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the PRISON, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. 15 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the PRISON, saying, JEREMIAH 49 30 Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a PURPOSE against you. JEREMIAH 51 29 And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every PURPOSE of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant. JEREMIAH 52 11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in PRISON till the day of his death. 31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of PRISON. 33 And changed his PRISON garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life. DANIEL 6 17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the PURPOSE might not be changed concerning Daniel. HOSEA 5 2 And the revolters are PROFOUND to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all. MALACHI 3 14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what PROFIT is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
