JOSHUA 10 20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made AN end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities. JOSHUA 11 23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for AN inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. JOSHUA 13 6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for AN inheritance, as I have commanded thee. 7 Now therefore divide this land for AN inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh, JOSHUA 14 3 For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and AN half tribe on the other side Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them. 10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I AM this day fourscore and five years old. 11 As yet I AM as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for AN inheritance. JOSHUA 17 4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us AN inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them AN inheritance among the brethren of their father. 6 Because the daughters of Manasseh had AN inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh's sons had the land of Gilead. 14 And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I AM a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto? JOSHUA 19 49 When they had made AN end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave AN inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: 51 These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for AN inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made AN end of dividing the country. JOSHUA 22 10 And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there AN altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to. 11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built AN altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel. 14 And with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was AN head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel. 16 Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have builded you AN altar, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD? 19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building you AN altar beside the altar of the LORD our God. 23 That we have built us AN altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let the LORD himself require it; 26 Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us AN altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice: 29 God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build AN altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle. JOSHUA 23 2 And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I AM old and stricken in age: 4 Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be AN inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward. 14 And, behold, this day I AM going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. JOSHUA 24 19 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is AN holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. 25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and AN ordinance in Shechem. 26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under AN oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD. 29 And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being AN hundred and ten years old. 32 And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for AN hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph. JUDGES 2 1 And AN angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. 8 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being AN hundred and ten years old. JUDGES 3 18 And when he had made AN end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present. 31 And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with AN ox goad: and he also delivered Israel. JUDGES 4 19 And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I AM thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. 21 Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took AN hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. JUDGES 6 10 And I said unto you, I AM the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice. 11 And there came AN angel of the LORD, and sat under AN oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. 15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I AM the least in my father's house. 19 And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of AN ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it. 22 And when Gideon perceived that he was AN angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen AN angel of the LORD face to face. 24 Then Gideon built AN altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. 26 And build AN altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 8 5 And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I AM pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian. 10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell AN hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword. 27 And Gideon made AN ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house. JUDGES 9 2 Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I AM your bone and your flesh. 23 Then God sent AN evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: 46 And when all the men of the tower of Shechem heard that, they entered into AN hold of the house of the god Berith. 48 And Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took AN axe in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it, and laid it on his shoulder, and said unto the people that were with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done. --MORE-- |
