NUMBERS 8 2 Speak unto AARON and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick. 3 And AARON did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses. 8 Then let them take A young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for A sin offering. 11 And AARON shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD. 12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for A sin offering, and the other for A burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites. 13 And thou shalt set the Levites before AARON, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD. 19 And I have given the Levites as A gift to AARON and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary. 20 And Moses, and AARON, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them. 21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and AARON offered them as an offering before the LORD; and AARON made an atonement for them to cleanse them. 22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before AARON, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them. NUMBERS 9 6 And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of A man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before AARON on that day: 7 And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of A man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel? 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of A dead body, or be in A journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD. 13 But the man that is clean, and is not in A journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. 14 And if A stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land. 20 And so it was, when the cloud was A few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed. 22 Or whether it were two days, or A month, or A year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed. NUMBERS 10 2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of A whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. 8 And the sons of AARON, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. 10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for A memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God. 33 And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out A resting place for them. NUMBERS 11 4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell A lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? 8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in A mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. 12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as A nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers? 20 But even A whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt? 21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat A whole month. 25 And the LORD came down in A cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. 27 And there ran A young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. 31 And there went forth A wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were A day's journey on this side, and as it were A day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth. 33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with A very great plague. NUMBERS 12 1 And Miriam and AARON spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto AARON, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. 5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called AARON and Miriam: and they both came forth. 6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be A prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in A vision, and will speak unto him in A dream. 10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and AARON looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. 11 And AARON said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. NUMBERS 13 2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send A man, every one A ruler among them. 23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence A branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon A staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. 26 And they went and came to Moses, and to AARON, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. 32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is A land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of A great stature. NUMBERS 14 2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against AARON: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! 3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be A prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? 4 And they said one to another, Let us make A captain, and let us return into Egypt. 5 Then Moses and AARON fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. 8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; A land which floweth with milk and honey. 12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee A greater nation and mightier than they. 14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in A pillar of A cloud, and in A pillar of fire by night. 26 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto AARON, saying, 31 But your little ones, which ye said should be A prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. 34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for A year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. 36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up A slander upon the land, --MORE-- |
