NUMBERS 24 11 Therefore now FLEE thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour. NUMBERS 25 2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their GODS: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their GODS. NUMBERS 33 4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their GODS also the LORD executed judgments. NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 4 28 And there ye shall serve GODS, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 5 7 Thou shalt have none other GODS before me. DEUTERONOMY 6 14 Ye shall not go after other GODS, of the GODS of the people which are round about you; DEUTERONOMY 7 4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other GODS: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. 16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their GODS; for that will be a snare unto thee. 25 The graven images of their GODS shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. DEUTERONOMY 8 19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other GODS, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. DEUTERONOMY 10 17 For the LORD your God is God of GODS, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: DEUTERONOMY 11 16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other GODS, and worship them; 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other GODS, which ye have not known. DEUTERONOMY 12 2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their GODS, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their GODS, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their GODS, saying, How did these nations serve their GODS? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their GODS; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their GODS. DEUTERONOMY 13 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other GODS, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other GODS, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 7 Namely, of the GODS of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; 13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other GODS, which ye have not known; DEUTERONOMY 17 3 And hath gone and served other GODS, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. 20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other GODS, even that prophet shall die. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 20 18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their GODS; so should ye sin against the LORD your God. DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other GODS to serve them. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other GODS, wood and stone. 64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other GODS, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. DEUTERONOMY 29 18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the GODS of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; 26 For they went and served other GODS, and worshipped them, GODS whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them: DEUTERONOMY 30 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other GODS, and serve them; DEUTERONOMY 31 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the GODS of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. 18 And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other GODS. 20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other GODS, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant. DEUTERONOMY 32 16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange GODS, with abominations provoked they him to anger. 17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to GODS whom they knew not, to new GODS that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. 18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that FORMED thee. 37 And he shall say, Where are their GODS, their rock in whom they trusted, JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. --MORE-- |
