ECCLESIASTES 7 6 For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the FOOL: this also is vanity. ISAIAH 9 5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of FIRE. 18 For wickedness burneth as the FIRE: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. 19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the FIRE: no man shall spare his brother. ISAIAH 10 16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a FIRE. 17 And the light of Israel shall be for a FIRE, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day; ISAIAH 26 11 LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the FIRE of thine enemies shall devour them. ISAIAH 27 11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on FIRE: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour. ISAIAH 29 6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring FIRE. ISAIAH 30 14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take FIRE from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit. 27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring FIRE: 30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring FIRE, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. 33 For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is FIRE and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it. ISAIAH 31 9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose FIRE is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem. --MORE-- |
