JOHN 16 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient FOR you that I go away: FOR if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: FOR he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: FOR he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, FOR joy that a man is born into the world. 26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father FOR you: 27 FOR the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came FORTH from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. 30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest FORTH from God. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful FOR us to put any man to death: 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and FOR this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. JOHN 19 4 Pilate therefore went FORTH again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him FORTH to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. 5 Then came Jesus FORTH, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: FOR I find no fault in him. 13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus FORTH, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 17 And he bearing his cross went FORTH into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 20 This title then read many of the Jews: FOR the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots FOR it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and FOR my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did. 31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (FOR that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 36 FOR these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. 38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly FOR fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; FOR the sepulchre was nigh at hand. JOHN 20 3 Peter therefore went FORTH, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. 9 FOR as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. 17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; FOR I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled FOR fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. JOHN 21 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went FORTH, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. 6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it FOR the multitude of fishes. 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (FOR he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (FOR they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and FOR all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. 18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch FORTH thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. ACTS 1 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait FOR the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 FOR John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 7 And he said unto them, It is not FOR you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 17 FOR he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. 20 FOR it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. 26 And they gave FORTH their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. ACTS 2 15 FOR these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 25 FOR David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, FOR he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed FORTH this, which ye now see and hear. 34 FOR David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 FOR the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. --MORE-- |
