And Cornelius waited FOR them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends. 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing FOR a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent FOR: I ask therefore FOR what intent ye have sent FOR me? 30 And Cornelius said, FOUR days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; FOR God was with him. 46 FOR they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, ACTS 11 5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by FOUR corners; and it came even to me: 8 But I said, Not so, Lord: FOR nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. 13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call FOR Simon, whose surname is Peter; 24 FOR he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. 25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, FOR to seek Saul: ACTS 12 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to FOUR quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God FOR him. 14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate FOR gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. 19 And when Herod had sought FOR him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation FOR the people, say on. 20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of FOUR hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet. 27 FOR they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 36 FOR David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: FOR I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. 47 FOR so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be FOR salvation unto the ends of the earth. ACTS 14 26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God FOR the work which they fulfilled. ACTS 15 6 And the apostles and elders came together FOR to consider of this matter. 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people FOR his name. 21 FOR Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. 26 Men that have hazarded their lives FOR the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 28 FOR it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced FOR the consolation. ACTS 16 3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: FOR they knew all that his father was a Greek. 4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees FOR to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us FOR to preach the gospel unto them. 21 And teach customs, which are not lawful FOR us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: FOR we are all here. 29 Then he called FOR a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, --MORE-- |
