DEUTERONOMY 17 14 When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are ABOUT me; DEUTERONOMY 18 1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by FIRE, and his inheritance. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the FIRE, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great FIRE any more, that I die not. DEUTERONOMY 21 2 Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round ABOUT him that is slain: DEUTERONOMY 25 19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round ABOUT, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it. DEUTERONOMY 31 21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go ABOUT, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware. DEUTERONOMY 32 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him ABOUT, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 22 For a FIRE is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on FIRE the foundations of the mountains. JOSHUA 2 5 And it came to pass ABOUT the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. JOSHUA 3 4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, ABOUT two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. JOSHUA 4 13 ABOUT forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho. JOSHUA 6 3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round ABOUT the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. 11 So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going ABOUT it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp. 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early ABOUT the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. 24 And they burnt the city with FIRE, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. JOSHUA 7 3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let ABOUT two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. 4 So there went up thither of the people ABOUT three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. 5 And the men of Ai smote of them ABOUT thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. 15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with FIRE, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. 25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with FIRE, after they had stoned them with stones. JOSHUA 8 8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on FIRE: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you. 12 And he took ABOUT FIVE thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city. 19 And the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on FIRE. JOSHUA 10 5 Therefore the FIVE kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it. 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down ABOUT a whole day. 16 But these FIVE kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah. 17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The FIVE kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah. 22 Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those FIVE kings unto me out of the cave. 23 And they did so, and brought forth those FIVE kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon. 26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on FIVE trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow ABOUT this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with FIRE. 9 And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with FIRE. 11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with FIRE. JOSHUA 13 3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: FIVE lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites: 14 Only unto the tribes of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by FIRE are their inheritance, as he said unto them. JOSHUA 14 10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and FIVE years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and FIVE years old. JOSHUA 15 12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round ABOUT according to their families. JOSHUA 16 6 And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went ABOUT eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah; JOSHUA 18 20 And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round ABOUT, according to their families. JOSHUA 19 8 And all the villages that were round ABOUT these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. JOSHUA 21 11 And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round ABOUT it. 42 These cities were every one with their suburbs round ABOUT them: thus were all these cities. 44 And the LORD gave them rest round ABOUT, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. JOSHUA 23 1 And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round ABOUT, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age. JUDGES 1 8 Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on FIRE. JUDGES 2 12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round ABOUT them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. 14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round ABOUT, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. JUDGES 3 3 Namely, FIVE lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath. 29 And they slew of Moab at that time ABOUT ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man. --MORE-- |
