JOB 17 1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready FOR me. 3 Lay down now, put me in A surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me? 4 FOR thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them. 6 He hath made me also A byword of the people; and aforetime I was as A tabret. 7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as A shadow. 10 But as FOR you all, do ye return, and come now: FOR I cannot find one wise man among you. 15 And where is now my hope? as FOR my hope, who shall see it? JOB 18 4 He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken FOR thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place? 8 FOR he is cast into A net by his own feet, and he walketh upon A snare. 10 The snare is laid FOR him in the ground, and A trap FOR him in the way. JOB 19 10 He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like A tree. 15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me FOR A stranger: I am an alien in their sight. 17 My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated FOR the children's sake of mine own body. 21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; FOR the hand of God hath touched me. 23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in A book! 24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock FOR ever! 25 FOR I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 27 Whom I shall see FOR myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. 29 Be ye afraid of the sword: FOR wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is A judgment. JOB 20 2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and FOR this I make haste. 5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but FOR A moment? 7 Yet he shall perish FOR ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he? 8 He shall fly away as A dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as A vision of the night. 18 That which he laboured FOR shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein. 21 There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look FOR his goods. 26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: A fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle. 29 This is the portion of A wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. JOB 21 4 As FOR me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled? 11 They send forth their little ones like A flock, and their children dance. 13 They spend their days in wealth, and in A moment go down to the grave. 14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; FOR we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. 19 God layeth up his iniquity FOR his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it. 21 FOR what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst? 28 FOR ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked? JOB 22 2 Can A man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself? 4 Will he reprove thee FOR fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment? 6 FOR thou hast taken A pledge from thy brother FOR nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing. 8 But as FOR the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it. 14 Thick clouds are A covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven. 16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with A flood: 17 Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do FOR them? 26 FOR then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. 28 Thou shalt also decree A thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. JOB 23 7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered FOR ever from my judge. 14 FOR he performeth the thing that is appointed FOR me: and many such things are with him. 16 FOR God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me: JOB 24 3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox FOR A pledge. 5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes FOR A prey: the wilderness yieldeth food FOR them and FOR their children. 8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock FOR want of A shelter. 9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take A pledge of the poor. 14 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as A thief. 15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth FOR the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face. 16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked FOR themselves in the daytime: they know not the light. 17 FOR the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death. 20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as A tree. 24 They are exalted FOR A little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn. 25 And if it be not so now, who will make me A liar, and make my speech nothing worth? --MORE-- |
