PSALM 90 4 FOR A thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as A watch in the night. 5 Thou carriest them away as with A flood; they are as A sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. 7 FOR we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. 9 FOR all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as A tale that is told. 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; FOR it is soon cut off, and we fly away. PSALM 91 5 Thou shalt not be afraid FOR the terror by night; nor FOR the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor FOR the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor FOR the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 11 FOR he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against A stone. PSALM 92 1 IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH: 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with A solemn sound. 4 FOR thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. 6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth A fool understand this. 7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed FOR ever: 8 But thou, LORD, art most high FOR evermore. 9 FOR, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, FOR, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like A cedar in Lebanon. PSALM 93 5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, FOR ever. PSALM 94 2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render A reward to the proud. 13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged FOR the wicked. 14 FOR the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. 16 Who will rise up FOR me against the evildoers? or who will stand up FOR me against the workers of iniquity? 20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by A law? PSALM 95 1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make A joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make A joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3 FOR the LORD is A great God, and A great King above all gods. 7 FOR he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, 10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is A people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: PSALM 96 1 O sing unto the LORD A new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. 4 FOR the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. 5 FOR all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. 13 Before the LORD: FOR he cometh, FOR he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. PSALM 97 3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. 9 FOR thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. 11 Light is sown FOR the righteous, and gladness FOR the upright in heart. PSALM 98 1 O sing unto the LORD A new song; FOR he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. 4 Make A joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make A loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of A psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make A joyful noise before the LORD, the King. 9 Before the LORD; FOR he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity. PSALM 99 3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; FOR it is holy. 5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; FOR he is holy. 8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast A God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions. 9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; FOR the LORD our God is holy. PSALM 100 1 Make A joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 5 FOR the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. PSALM 101 2 I will behave myself wisely in A perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with A perfect heart. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know A wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and A proud heart will not I suffer. 6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in A perfect way, he shall serve me. --MORE-- |
