DEUTERONOMY 9 3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming FIRE he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee. 10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the FIRE in the day of the assembly. 15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with FIRE: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands. 21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with FIRE, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount. DEUTERONOMY 10 4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the FIRE in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me. DEUTERONOMY 12 3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with FIRE; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the FIRE to their gods. DEUTERONOMY 13 16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with FIRE the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again. DEUTERONOMY 18 1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by FIRE, and his inheritance. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the FIRE, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great FIRE any more, that I die not. DEUTERONOMY 23 22 But if thou shalt FORBEAR to vow, it shall be no sin in thee. DEUTERONOMY 32 22 For a FIRE is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on FIRE the foundations of the mountains. JOSHUA 6 24 And they burnt the city with FIRE, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. JOSHUA 8 8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on FIRE: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. JOSHUA 10 5 Therefore the FIVE kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it. 16 But these FIVE kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah. 17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The FIVE kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah. 22 Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those FIVE kings unto me out of the cave. 23 And they did so, and brought forth those FIVE kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon. 26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on FIVE trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with FIRE. 9 And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with FIRE. 11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with FIRE. JOSHUA 13 3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: FIVE lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites: 14 Only unto the tribes of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by FIRE are their inheritance, as he said unto them. JUDGES 9 15 And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let FIRE come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon. 20 But if not, let FIRE come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let FIRE come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech. 49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on FIRE upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women. 52 And Abimelech came unto the tower, and fought against it, and went hard unto the door of the tower to burn it with FIRE. JUDGES 12 1 And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with FIRE. JUDGES 14 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with FIRE: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so? JUDGES 15 5 And when he had set the brands on FIRE, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives. 6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with FIRE. 14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with FIRE, and his bands loosed from off his hands. JUDGES 16 9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the FIRE. So his strength was not known. JUDGES 18 2 And the children of Dan sent of their family FIVE men from their coasts, men of valour, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said unto them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there. 7 Then the FIVE men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man. 14 Then answered the FIVE men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what ye have to do. 17 And the FIVE men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war. 27 And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with FIRE. JUDGES 20 35 And the LORD smote Benjamin before Israel: and the children of Israel destroyed of the Benjamites that day twenty and FIVE thousand and an hundred men: all these drew the sword. 45 And they turned and fled toward the wilderness unto the rock of Rimmon: and they gleaned of them in the highways FIVE thousand men; and pursued hard after them unto Gidom, and slew two thousand men of them. 46 So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and FIVE thousand men that drew the sword; all these were men of valour. 48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on FIRE all the cities that they came to. --MORE-- |
